FAQ

Are there any questions you have about Revive?

Hopefully we can answer them here.

  • What is Your Statement of Faith?
    1. We believe that there is one sovereign God eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things. (1 Chronicles 2:12, Psalm 135:6, Acts 2:32-33, Mark 12:29-30) 2. We believe that Jesus Christ, God's only Son was born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died as a substitute for us, and rose from the grave. (Colossians 2:9, Luke 1:30-35, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, 2 Corinthians 5:21) 3. We believe in the Holy Spirit who convicts the world in regard to sin, righteousness, and judgment, and indwells every believer and equips them for personal growth and service to Jesus Christ. (John 16:8, Acts 2:38, Ephesians 1:13-14) 4. We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:6-17) 5. We believe that man, created by God in His image, willfully sinned and as a result, is lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ" (Genesis 1:27, Romans 3:23,6:23, Acts 4:12) 6. We believe that salvation - the forgiveness of sins - is available only by the grace of God through the blood of Jesus Christ. This free gift of salvation ls offered to all who receive Christ as Lord and savior. (John 3:16, Ephesians 2;8-9, Colossians 2:6) 7. We believe that death seals the eternal destiny of each person. When Christ returns he will pronounce the eternal fate of each individual -the saved to eternal life in heaven, the unsaved to eternal separation from God in hell. {Acts 1:10-11, John 5:28-29, Daniel 12:2, 2 Corinthians 4:14)

  • How will Revive help me find what I’m looking for?
What are you looking for in life? Healing. Friendship. Love. Forgiveness. Direction. We’re all looking for good things, but sometimes it’s hard to find exactly what we need. At Revive, we believe the best way to illuminate the paths we’re looking for is to walk with Jesus alongside other people who desire the same things. Revive is a Christ-centered, multi-ethnic church that is here to help you live the faith-life adventure that God has created you for.
  • Why is purpose important at Revive?
When we care about the things that Jesus cares about, we find ourselves on a very meaningful and satisfying journey. As a church that’s what motivates us. We want to help you discover your most meaningful path in life. Your purpose, the purpose that starts with Jesus and His desires for the world. Through the studying of scripture, relationships, and serving opportunities, we help each other discern what it looks like to love and serve like Jesus where we live and work. That’s how we discover our unique purposes in life.
  • Why is the word “connection” important to Revive?
It has been said ‘To know God, we must know ourselves. To know ourselves, we must know God.’ Finding that connection with God, ourselves, and others is critical. One of the most powerful ways to grow in these relationships is to understand how God relates to us, and to use that as a guide in how we connect with others. It’s inspiring to experience and share forgiveness, grace, generosity, love, patience, and so much more. Revive exists to ensure you have a place and a community where you can find those kinds of relationships. We’re not perfect, but we know the God who is, and we’re excited to follow Him together. Through Saturday services, small group relationships, one-on-one interactions, and simply doing life together, we create opportunities for new connections to grow.
  • How does Revive help me find clarity in life?
It’s very exciting to discover what the Bible is saying to us right now. It’s wonderful when those words and stories pop off the page and feel like they were written specifically for you. That happens when we understand how to approach scriptures, and how to apply them to our lives. That’s one of the reasons Revive is here. We love the Bible and want to help you (and your family) to discover the treasures inside it. That’s true if you’re looking at it for the first time, or if you’ve been studying it faithfully for 40 years. Let’s dive in together.
  • What “treasure” has God created us for?
The faith journey is a treasure in and of itself. Knowing Jesus, and learning from him alongside other people is a process that fills life with hope and clarity. In this faith journey, we learn to find our identity in our Creator. We start to see how the truths in the Bible come to life in our homes, work, and communities. That’s when faith becomes tangible. At Revive, you have permission to enjoy that journey, to embrace your full potential in a community that can provide solace and encouragement. You’ll get to pursue faith alongside people who are living examples of triumph over adversity. People like you.
  • What if I’ve been hurt by church in the past?
No Assumptions We never assume that you lack or have never had a relationship with God. Instead, we learn your story and start there. None of us have this faith life mastered. It’s a lifelong process, and we’ll learn together. If you’ve drifted from your faith due to heartbreak, negative experiences within the church, or sheer disappointment, we understand the importance of allowing the journey to unfold at its own pace. Together, we will focus on the love and wisdom that Jesus reveals, and search for that spark that can reignite your faith journey. What To Expect We establish a nurturing environment where growth and challenges coexist with healing and freedom from judgment. We all acknowledge that we are on the same journey - no one is exempt from failure, stumbling, or occasional discouragement. We’re just doing our best to be a Christ-centered church that keeps learning and evolving to become more and more like Him. No matter where you’re coming from. Join us at Revive to grow your faith in a vibrant community!
  • What is significant about being a Christ-centered church and multi-ethnic community?
Jesus The life of Jesus is unparalleled in its ability to bring clarity and transformation to our lives. While we may identify numerous shortcomings when comparing ourselves to Christ, we are also encouraged by the guidance and grace He provides for us. Community No one is meant to embark on this journey alone. Every significant event, every important milestone, and even every devastating setback are best experienced within a community. Whether you're celebrating an achievement or recovering from emotional wounds, the solace lies in knowing that you never have to face it alone. The statement "It is not good for man to be alone," spoken by God at the beginning of the Bible, echoes throughout Scripture. It is God's desire for us to live and thrive in community. Since God works through people, isolating ourselves limits His ability to answer our prayers effectively. Join us at Revive Transformational Church to be part of a community that cares.
  • Why open another church?
Good question. These are some of the realities that inspired the launch of Revive. ● 76% of people in the Milwaukee Metropolitan Area are not part of a faith community. There has to be an organization that addresses the needs of the people in this community. ● Milwaukee is known as one of the most segregated big cities in the United States. What better way to begin to break ground towards unity than by creating a diverse worship space that reflects heaven? ● Research shows only 10 percent of people who have a child with special needs are part of a faith community. We must address the physical and mental needs of families who have children with disabilities, showering them with the love of God and the support of a like-minded community. ● Have you ever asked Why am I Here? What is my Purpose? If so, you are not alone. We help people find their purpose and connect them back to the community they serve.
  • Is Revive looking for other organizations to partner with?
Thank you for asking! Yes! We are looking to partner with organizations that are making a difference in our community. If you are an organization which serves families with special needs, are focused on helping people develop in purpose, or helping to meet some of the basic needs of our community, we would love to explore collaboration and partnership to serve families.
  • Why does Revive meet on Saturdays at 5pm?
In this season of our church, meeting on Saturdays is what works best. We’re excited to gather in that sweet spot of a Saturday evening. Late enough to give families the day to be together, and early enough to leave the evening free for other activities. We also like the idea of giving you your entire Sunday to enjoy the sabbath and REST.
